After graduating from high school in the Denver area, Dr. Riffel attended Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon, where she majored in Biology. After graduating, she was admitted to the Pacific University College of Optometry for her graduate studies and completed her education in 1995.
Early in her career, she was first Optometrist ever hired by the University of Colorado Ophthalmology Department. There, she learned that she had a passion for patient care and a particular interest in cornea and anterior segment disease. This led to many years working in the Lasik/Laser vision correction industry in both Denver and Las Vegas. Looking for a slower pace, she returned to primary care and family optometry. She truly enjoys getting to know her patients and looks forward to their annual visits.
